Crestone, Colorado

Crestone is truly an incredible place. Located in south-central Colorado, in the northern part of the San Luis Valley (about 2 hours north of Taos, New Mexico), Crestone sits in a stunning location, at the foot of five “14’ers” (a Colorado nickname for mountains measuring over 14,000 feet above sea level). Crestone is bordered by the Great Sand Dunes National Park to the south, and the Baca National Wildlife Refuge to the west, with the Blanca mountain group (four additional 14’ers) dominating the southern vista.

Crestone is an amazingly quiet place, where the hawk’s screech, the coyote’s howl, or silence’s roar can often be heard. Because of the sparse population, the light pollution is minimal, and starlight can illuminate a nighttime stroll. In the Baca Grande subdivision, the electric and phone lines are buried, minimizing electrical interference, which allows for a greater resonance with the “planet’s pulse” (a.k.a. the Schuman Resonance - a 7.8 Hz frequency emitted by the Earth).

But what makes Crestone special is not just its remote location. Many different spiritual groups from around the world regard Crestone as a place of an intense concentration of energy, and have established centers there. This energetic concentration, often referred to as a vortex, enhances and charges spiritual practices. These energies permeate and enliven the Structural Integration practice and give the Crestone College of Structural Integration its particular “flavor.”

We invite you to experience Crestone, and feel the Love!
